To change the brightness on any phone
1. Hit the settings button, blue button 2nd above the #1 key
2. Select the settings soft key at the left
3. Select Brightness and Contrast at the left
4. I recommend turning the brightness all the way up (Brightness +), and turn the contrast up (Contrast +) before the screen becomes too dark
5. Finally, hit the Save soft key on the left to save your new settings, then close to exit
